1. Overview

This maintenance guide applies to all YAVE electric scooters and electric mobility bikes. Proper daily maintenance can effectively extend the service life of the battery, motor, controller and braking system, ensure stable riding performance and maximize your riding safety. All maintenance rules are the standard basis for warranty judgment.

2. Daily Riding Maintenance

  • Tire Check: Check tire pressure regularly. Keep standard tire inflation to avoid flat tires, tire deformation and unstable riding.
  • Brake System: Check brake sensitivity before riding. Ensure front and rear brakes respond smoothly. Avoid long-term violent braking.
  • Body Cleaning: Clean dust and dirt regularly. Do not use high-pressure water flushing directly to avoid water entering electrical components.
  • Light & Instrument: Regularly check LED headlights, taillights and dashboard display to ensure normal lighting and data display.
  • Screw & Frame: Check loose screws of body, seat, bracket and frame regularly to prevent abnormal shaking during riding.

3. Battery Maintenance

  • Charging Rules: Charge the battery after daily use. Do not overcharge or frequently under-voltage riding. Unplug the charger once fully charged.
  • Low Battery Protection: Avoid long-term riding with low power, which will accelerate battery aging and reduce battery life.
  • Long-Term Storage: If the scooter is not used for a long time, keep 50%–70% battery power, charge it once a month to prevent battery loss and dead cell damage.
  • Environment: Do not charge in high temperature, humid or rainy outdoor environments. Keep the battery dry and ventilated.
  • Prohibition: Do not disassemble, squeeze, pierce or modify the battery privately.

4. Motor & Controller Maintenance

  • Keep the motor wheel hub dry and clean, avoid long-term water immersion and muddy road impact.
  • Do not overload or climb steep slopes frequently for a long time to prevent motor overheating.
  • The controller is fully sealed. Do not disassemble it privately to avoid circuit failure and burn-out.

5. Waterproof & Rainy Season Protection

  • The electric scooter supports daily splash-proof, but not fully waterproof.
  • Avoid wading riding, deep water road passing, and long-term heavy rain exposure.
  • If the vehicle gets wet in rain, wipe dry and place it in a ventilated place to dry naturally. Do not charge immediately after getting wet.

6. Official Repair & After-Sales Service

  • YAVE provides official after-sales repair and parts replacement service for all electric scooters within the warranty period.
  • Free repair or free parts replacement is available for non-human factory quality failures.
  • Unqualified maintenance behavior will void warranty: Private disassembly, modification, improper charging, water damage, crash damage, overloading, illegal use.
  • Customers can contact support@yaev.com for technical guidance, fault diagnosis and repair solutions.

7. Prohibited Behaviors(Important)

To ensure riding safety and valid warranty, users are prohibited from: Overloading, speeding modification, circuit refitting, battery replacement disassembly, high-pressure water washing, off-road violent riding, long-term immersion, and using non-original chargers.
